Classes

Christopher's Clubhouse offers our Safety Education classes through after school programs, Boys & Girls Clubs, Scout Troops and more.

We require a large multi-purpose type room to use for the children to run and practice the skills they learn in this comprehensive 8-10 hour curriculum.

Our classes are usually offered after school, for two hours each day for 5 days. This is a 10-hour program that will provide children with the skills necessary to avoid exploitation.

Please contact: mika@christophersclubhouse.org if you have available space for us.

Through participatory exhibitions and innovative programs,
Christopher's Clubhouse:

• Provides an educational course, teaching the radKids Personal Empowerment Safety Education Program.

• Reaches out to children and parents of diverse backgrounds and cultures.

• Offers a fun and stimulating environment where parents and children can learn from law enforcement, educators and concerned parents that have been trained and certified.

Christopher's Clubhouse Programs include:

• A 10-hour radKIDS safety education program for children
3 1/2 -13 years of age.

• Family Internet Safety programs

• Adult Education & Child Protection Program.

• Fingerprinting and ID's for Children

• Teen Girls In Focus (TGIF) A program designed for teen girls to give them the skills to focus on their safety.

It only takes seconds for a child without training to be lured into a dangerous situation. As much as you would like to, you can’t be with your child every minute of the day to protect them.

So how can you teach your children the skills they need to protect themselves without scaring them?

Christopher's Clubhouse uses the radKIDS curriculum that actually trains children, in a multi-sensory, fun and interactive environment, to respond to dangerous scenarios. Children are taught safety education; everything from Home Safety to Defense Against Abduction by doing simulated activities. Once they’ve actually done it, and practiced it, the necessary skills will come naturally and instinctively in a dangerous situation. Through radKIDS training, children become empowered learning to replace the fear, confusion, and panic of dangerous situations with confidence, personal safety skills and self- esteem.

Christopher's Clubhouse is honored to be a part in the "Not One More Child" Safety Initiative.Because it takes a community to protect our children Instructors are trained to empower children and parents to stop the cycle of violence. Those that are recommended for Certification Training are law enforcement officers, teachers and other educators, dedicated parents and volunteers as well as family resource providers and counselors.

The training involves certification in the radKIDS Personal Empowerment and Safety Education Program. This curriculum has been endorsed by the National Sheriff's Association and is the national leader in safety education and violence prevention for children. The Certification will also include instruction in the Samantha's PRIDE Neighborhood Child Protection Program. The PRIDE Program is patterned after the example of a lion’s pride whereby all of the adults work together to keep a vigilant watch outside to protect the young from predators. PRIDE Program Facilitators offer public presentations focused on raising awareness and prevention education as well as an opportunity to join a Neighborhood PRIDE to ensure continued vigilance for child protection. Similar to the Neighborhood Watch model, PRIDE Members submit a background check application and take an oath to work together to model safe parenting behaviors and provide outdoor supervision of children before and after school, at community events and parks.
